Stephanie Bennett
Stephanie Bennett received the B.Eng degree in Mechanical Engineering from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova-Scotia in 2010. She ran varsity cross country all five years of her undergrad. After graduating, Stephanie spent a year working in a Geriatric Research center in Halifax, researching frailty in the elderly. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering at Carleton under the supervision of Dr. Rafik Goubran. Her research interests include frailty in the elderly, and signal processing as it applies to geriatrics.

Megan Holtzman
Megan Holtzman received a B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Victoria, Victoria, BC, Canada, in 2001, and a M.A.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada, in 2006. Ms. Holtzman’s research interests are in digital signal processing, with applications in biomedical monitoring, and smart homes. Her current research towards a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering is in fusing data from an unobtrusive pressure sensor array below a bed to obtain the occupant's breathing signal and detect movements and weight shifts. She is a student in the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering, at Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada.

Daphne Townsend
Daphne Townsend received her B.Sc. and M.A.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ottawa in 2004 and 2007 respectively. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the department of Systems and Computer Engineering at Carleton University, Ottawa, ON, Canada. She is developing algorithms for sleep related events with the use of unobtrusive pressure sensor arrays. She has experience with algorithm design, clinical databases, and with the design and completion of biomedical research studies involving human subjects. Her conference and peer-reviewed journal articles are available on IEEEXplore. Her current research interests include digital signal processing and its applications in biomedical engineering.
