SmartCells® Dual-Stiffness flooring by SATECH was installed in the TAFETA Smart Apartment bathroom in 2003. The flooring, which is used to reduce fatigue amongst individuals such as factory workers who stand for long periods of time, shows promise as a technology to reduce falls-related injuries amongst older adults.
